Financial abuse occurs in 99% of domestic violence cases, trapping victims by controlling their access to money. One of the most effective ways to combat this is through education. By providing women and girls with access to education and training, Soroptimist gives them a direct path to financial independence, making it harder for an abuser to exert control and easier for a victim to leave.
