The Soroptimist Live Your Dream Education and Training Awards empower women who are the primary financial support for their families. This unique award provides the resources needed to enhance education, build skills, and secure better employment, helping women create a brighter future for themselves and their loved ones.
Soroptimist's Live Your Dream Education and Training Awards for Women program offers a unique education award for women who are the primary financial support for their families. With over $3 million in cash grants awarded annually worldwide, the program empowers head-of-household women to improve their education, skills, and employment prospects. Eligible applicants must be enrolled in or accepted to a skills training or undergraduate degree program.

More than half of our recipients are survivors of domestic violence, trafficking, or sexual assault, and nearly all have faced significant challenges such as poverty, teen pregnancy, or addiction. The cash award can be used to cover any education-related expenses, including books, childcare, tuition, or transportation.
Apply for the Live Your Dream Award
The Live Your Dream Training and Education Awards for Women offer three levels of cash awards, and if you're eligible, you can apply between August 15 and November 15. As a finalist, you could receive up to $16,000 to help cover tuition, buy books, arrange transportation, or secure reliable childcare. This support is designed to ease your financial worries so you can focus on reaching your dreams.

You are eligible to apply if you are a woman who:

Provides the primary financial support for yourself and your dependents. Dependents can include children, spouse, partner, siblings, and/or parents.

Has financial need.

Is enrolled in or has been accepted to a vocational/skills training program or an undergraduate degree program.

Is motivated to achieve your education and career goals.

Resides in one of Soroptimist International of the Americas’ member countries/territories (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, Guam, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Northern Mariana Islands, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Taiwan, United States of America, Venezuela).

Has not previously been the recipient of a Soroptimist Women’s Opportunity or Live Your Dream Award.

Does not have a graduate degree.

Is not a Soroptimist member, an employee of Soroptimist International of the Americas, or immediate family of either.

Will write essays in your own words without the use of artificial intelligence.
